Garlic-y French-Style Green Beans

Super simple and quick side that anyone can make. It’s turned a green bean hater in my household to a green bean “it’s actually pretty good”er (I’ll take it).

INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:

  • French-style green beans - 2 cans

  • Garlic powder - 1 tbsp

  • Kosher salt - 1/2 tbsp or to taste

  • Black pepper - 1/2 tbsp or to taste

UTENSILS I’D SUGGEST HAVING:

  • Medium to large saucepan

  • Spoon

  • Colander

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat? No

  • Heat up a saucepan on medium high for a minute or two while you drain your green beans completely of water in a colander.

  • Add your beans to the pan and kick the heat to high, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  • Keep turning until beans begin to dry out a bit, gain some color, and garlic powder is very fragrant (about 15 minutes depending on your pan size). That’s it!

    • Tip: the larger the pan the faster this process will go, since there’s more surface area for the beans to contact

  • Enjoy!
