Pull Apart Cheesy Bread
Crispy, buttery, cheesy, I’m sold.
INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
Rosemary and olive oil round loaf (or any round loaf of your flavor preference) - 1
Butter - 4 tbsp (half stick)
Minced garlic - 2 tsp
Garlic powder - 1 tsp
Kosher salt - 1/2 tsp
Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
Parsley - 1 tsp
Muenster cheese, sliced - about 4 slices
Pepper Jack cheese, sliced - about 4 slices
UTENSILS I’D SUGGEST HAVING:
Sheet pan
Large bread knife
Silicone brush
Small bowl
Tin foil
ORDER OF OPERATIONS:
Melt butter and add spices, herbs, and minced garlic
Cut bread into a partially deep grid
Brush melted butter mixture inside the cuts you created in both directions
Fold up both cheeses to tear into strips and stuff into the cuts you created
Brush melted butter mixture all over loaf and bake
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat? Yes - 375 degrees F (190 C)
In a small bowl, melt butter then combine with garlic powder, salt, pepper, parsley, and minced garlic
Making a slice every inch or so, you'll want to cut a checkerboard pattern (like the picture above) into your loaf, only cutting about 3/4ths of the day deep. You want it deep enough where you can add cheese in to stuff it, but not so deep that it falls apart.
Brush melted butter mixture inside the cuts you’ve created, making sure to butter in both directions
Fold and tear both cheese types into strips and stuff into the cuts you created, alternating between the two flavors. The squares can be delicate at this stage, so be careful when separating the layers that you don’t tear off the tops on accident.
Brush melted butter mixture all over loaf and place on a baking sheet wrapped in pieces of tin foil on the top and bottom
Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the top piece of foil and broil on high for 3-4 minutes or until cheese has fully melted and bread/cheese is starting to crisp a little
Enjoy!
